Our community partnerships

Avanti Finance is a proud supporter of Dawson Road School as part of Duffy Books in Homes. At the end of school terms one and three we attend Role Model assemblies and present books to children to encourage them to read and achieve their best at school.

The Duffy Books in Homes programme was developed to inspire a love of reading in children who may come from ‘bookless’ homes. The idea behind the programme came from NZ author Alan Duff and we have been a part of it since the beginning over some 20 years ago. Duffy Books in Homes provides books to children from low-decile schools across New Zealand. It gives these children the opportunity to choose and own their very own books. The programme has since expanded into Australia and the United States and given over 10,000,000 books away since it started.

Each year we encourage our staff to donate to the SPCA NZ, Cancer Society NZ and Foster Hope. Avanti matches the funds raised to give these great causes an extra boost.

Avanti Group also supports Duffy Books in Homes, Cancer Society NZ, Auckland Volunteering, Lifewise, Dress for Success, SPCA, and Eat Up Australia with financial donations to help these charities to continue to doing their amazing work.

We’re proud to offer every member of our team a paid day each year to give back to our communities. Some of the charities our staff have chosen to support in New Zealand include Saint Vincent De Paul House, Cancer Society, Motuihe Island Restoration Trust, Breast Cancer Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, Fair Food Charitable Trust, Volunteering Auckland, Helping Homeless Families, Dawson School, Lifewise Merge Café, and Eat Up in Australia
